That took him up to five goals in 10 Europa League games this season, 19 in 36 matches in all competition.

“He’s been the team’s top scorer in all competition for three seasons now, despite not being a striker, but a winger,” agent Branko Hucika told Calciomercato.it.

“The hat-trick was an incredible sensation, he was so happy. The truth is, he’s been doing so well for a while, don’t forget last season he scored a hat-trick on his Champions League debut against Atalanta last year.”

Many won’t remember, but Orsic did play in Italy for Spezia in 2013-14, at the time in Serie B, making just 11 appearances.

“The Italian experience did help, although he deserved to play more at Spezia. At the time he was young, didn’t know the language and had to learn about the tactical side of their game, those were the excuses he was told.

“I am in contact with several Italian clubs. He is 28 years old now, we certainly wouldn’t say no to a return to Italy.”
