Divock Origi is on the verge of making his Milan return after positive signs seen in today’s training session.

The 27-year-old Belgian forward signed a four-year contract with the Rossoneri after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer, but his start to life in Italy didn’t go as planned. Origi only briefly featured at the start of the season before suffering a muscle issue, forcing him to the sidelines only weeks after his arrival.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Origi trained with the Milan squad at Milanello today, completing the entire session with his teammates. He is hoping to be fit in time for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Chelsea, giving coach Stefano Pioli a little more flexibility for the key clash.

Unfortunately for the Rossoneri it was a different story for Theo Hernandez, who still carried out a personalised programme on his own, meaning he’ll have to wait a little longer for a taste of action again.

  1. It would be about time Origi made himself useful. He loved the big games in his time at Liverpool . Theo along with Calabria will be missed. I think we beat Chelsea with a fully fit squad.
