According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Divock Origi could undergo his medical with Milan this week, but the Rossoneri are also in talks with Noa Lang and Charles De Ketelaere.

The Rossoneri are preparing to strengthen their team for 2022-23 after winning the first Serie A title in 11 years.

They have already reached an agreement to sign Liverpool striker Origi as a free agent and the 27-year-old could undergo his medical with the Rossoneri this week.

Milan directors have also recently met with Noa Lang’s family reaching a principle of agreement with the 22-year-old. Club Brugge value the Netherlands international circa €22m and the Rossoneri are ready to shake hands with the Belgian club if the new owners give the green light for his signature. Lang can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.

His teammate De Ketelaere plays in similar positions, but his club value him at €40m, so Milan need to know their transfer budget for the summer before negotiating with Brugge,

The Serie A giants are also considering signing Sven Botman. Il Corriere dello Sport confirms Milan have reached an agreement with the Dutch defender in February, but there is still no green light from Lille. Torino‘s Gleison Bremer is also on Milan’s radars.

Lille remain in talks with the Rossoneri for Renato Sanches, who sees his contract expire in 2022 and is destined to leave the Ligue 1 side in the summer.

  1. I’m a Juve fan and I hope Milan gets the strongest team possible. I want a strong Serie A it makes things so much more interesting than winning the league in January. Forza Calcio!

  2. Villarreal also interested in Origi. Regardless, the team cannot go into the new season as origi as its main striker. At 27, his biggest goal output in a season is 11, and has barely got onto the pitch for liverpool the past two seasons.

  3. Also. Lang predominantly plays as a left winger. Arguably the one area where Milan don’t need reinforcements. He has played very few games as a central attacking midfielder with Brugge. Has played as a 2nd striker, but most of his output has come when playing on the left wing.

  4. As for De Katelaere, the kid can play in multiple positions but at over 1.90m he is a centre forward – best output when playing centre forward. He is only 21. How many games is he going to get with Giroud and origi around. You can’t sign a promising 21 year old and have him play backup.

  5. Rosario – perhaps getting ready to sell Leao. It’s unfortunate, but Maldini has proven to be pragmatic and I trust him to make the best decision for the club – see donnarumma and calhanoglu for best examples

  6. @Milanista.

There is no way on god’s earth Leao is leaving this summer. Maybe Rebic wants more game time, and Milan can’t give him that?

I’m not saying they’re wrong players. I saw Noa lang a couple of times in champions league, and actually he’s very very gifted. De Katelaere the same. But I’m worried young talented kids will be bought and made to play in positions that aren’t quite getting the best out of them. If you sign De Katelaere, he can’t stagnate on the bench and play bit part.

  7. I’m not popping any champagne for transfers until someone calls me with the news Samu has left.

Seriously, call me at 3am, call me when my wife is giving birth to our first kid, call me when I’m on the stand giving evidence for Johnny Depp I don’t care… nothing will compare to the joy of hearing Samu has gone.

  8. I feel Noa Lang is a smoke screen for De Katelaere. Makes no sense to bring in another LW. De Katelaere on the other hand would be perfect. He has played as a false 9 a bit this season but is more suited to AM or RW. Him on one side and Leao on the other with origi upfront would be devastating.

  9. @Mark

De Katelaere as a right winger? Since when? He has barely if ever featured there. Are you sure you’re not confusing him for Lang, who has actually done well on the right?

  10. @Marco

100% agree. But kids choose these comment sections to always pick and denigrate someone. No wonder abuse towards sports people on social media is on the rise. Even more bizarre, this article didn’t even mention samu.

  11. @Marco and @Rosario

I would respect Samu if he had gone along with the clubs request for him to move on 12 months ago, but he’s acted like a stubborn child and preferred to sit on milans bench than be a first team player for someone else.

And I know it didn’t mention him. I never said it did. I was merely stating that I don’t care who milan want to sign, I’m more interesting in clearing out the dead-wood before they improve.

  12. @Vogel.

it was Samu’s cross that made Gunter put the ball into his own net when Milan came from 0-2 down to win 3-2 in san siro vs Hellas. 2 gained points….2 points won the scudetto.

  13. @Vogel.

Who’s cross forced Gunter to score an OG vs Hellas? Milan came from two down to win 3-2.

No one is saying samu is a superstar. he most likely will leave. But this was a positive post, and you had to go and denigrate a player who may I add is a lifelong Milan fan.

  14. All of these names are talented players who will actually improve the squad. Any one of the. Are welcome additions. I think Origi will definitely join and solves a few problems, then I think we should definitely close with Sanches

As for the rest, De Ketelaere has huge potential and room for improvement. I’d like to see him train under Pioli’s guidance. I think he can play on the shoulder of our striker, the way Pioli tried to use Diaz earlier in the season as second striker, close to the main striker, before opting for a third midfielder towards the end of the season. He has experience playing on the right for Belgium, too. As a left-footed attacker he’d be very useful.

Regarding Lang or any defender who eventually joins, I’m gonna trust Maldini and Pioli. Both Botman and Bremer are solid defenders.

  15. @ Rosario => spot on man, that cross really gave Milan that 2 missing points 💯✅… what we the fans need to know
encourage them in their hard times because they all put on our beloveth
    ❤️🖤 Jersey. FORZA..!! MILAN..!!

  16. @ vogel => peace, unity and one love brought this GREAT CLUB the trophy this season.. please let the harmony continue… who ever put on the ❤️🖤 Jersey come nest season should get our support.. MILAN FOR LIFE 💪🏽💪🏽

  17. Lang is needed because he can play as LW and LF. I believe Leao will stay, but we need someone as his backup. Rebic will probably leave this summer, so Lang is a good replacement. If Leao is fit, Lang can also be the partner for Origi.

De Katelaere is also a good signing because we don’t have no.10 player. I hope he will be the main and rules the midfield with Tonali.

The only one Milan miss is RW. Btw, if we can get Botman or Bremer, I think we can use 3CB as Kalulu-Botman/Bremer-Tomori, while pushing Calabria to RW since he’s much better for attacking than defense.
