Antonio Cassano and Matias Silvestre could join Parma in exchange for Ishak Belfodil by Monday. “We are very optimistic.”

The deal would see Inter hand over €10m cash plus the loans with options to buy of Cassano and Silvestre.

There are even reports that Cassano could be at the Tardini within the next 24 hours for a medical, despite Genoa’s efforts to hijack the move.

“We are working on it and need patience, but we are very optimistic,” Parma director Pietro Leonardi told FCInterNews.it.

“It is inopportune to get into details, but I can say we are at an advanced stage of the negotiations with Inter. The situation isn’t concluded yet, as it depends on many factors.”

When asked whether Parma would consider Samuele Longo or MacDonald Mariga as part of the deal instead, Leonardi was adamant.

“At the moment we do not want to hear about any alternatives.”
