Opta have released their statistics based top Serie A XI after the first 19 games of the 2021/22 season.
Heading into the Christmas break, Inter sit top of the table with 46 points, four points ahead of Milan and seven points ahead of Napoli. Based on the stats, however, only three Nerazzurri players have found themselves in the top eleven after the half-way point of the season.
As reported by Opta, players like Dusan Vlahovic, Matthijs de Ligt, Marcelo Brozovic and more have found themselves in the squad, with the statistics confirming their strong seasons in Serie A so far.
Below is Opta’s top XI after the half-way point of the 2021/22 Serie A season:
Handanovic; Theo Hernandez, De Ligt, Bremer, Cuadrado; Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Fabian Ruiz; Simeone, Pasalic, Vlahovic.
Inter have only conceded 15 goals so far this campaign but not a single Nerazzurri defender earnt a place in the squad, although Handanovic was included due to his impressive work between the posts.

Who put this list together? Ramsey should be in there too. The goals he scored for Wales alone.
As fI mentioned, the best part is: no Inter defender although we have best defence after Napoli. But, also no Napoli player in this defence. 😀
