There are two doubts for Simone Inzaghi going into the Champions League Final against Manchester City, but by far the biggest is between Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri ended their Serie A season today with a 1-0 victory away to Torino, sealed by the Marcelo Brozovic goal.

It was reported that Inzaghi’s choices this evening could be considered a dress rehearsal for Istanbul, starting Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez together.

However, the Argentina international was replaced after 55 minutes by Dzeko, who is the other main contender to lead the attack next Saturday.

There are growing reports that Dzeko will be in the starting XI against Manchester City, bringing on Lukaku in the second half once City legs start to get tired.

This would also explain why the Bosnian was largely rested today, along with fellow second half substitutes Nicolò Barella and Francesco Acerbi.

The other doubt is in midfield and that seems increasingly likely to go in favour of Brozovic, especially after his goal against Torino.

He is also boosted by the fact his rival Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been out for several weeks with an injury and was not even on the bench today.

The hope is to have Mkhitaryan back for a spot on the bench in Istanbul, but it is Brozovic who will probably partner Hakan Calhanoglu and Barella.

Federico Dimarco was also rested today, but is a guarantee to start wide with Denzel Dumfries on the other flank.

Inter (probable): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez
