Only four clubs can afford Haaland, but who could sign Vlahovic?

Mino Raiola has ruled Serie A clubs out of the race to sign Erling Haaland, but the Norway striker hasn’t been as prolific as Dusan Vlahovic in 2021, so who can afford the Fiorentina star?

In his latest interview with Sport 1, Raiola said that only four top European clubs could sign his client Haaland and mentioned  Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City as possible destinations for the 21-year-old.

Haaland is the third most prolific striker in Europe’s top 5 leagues in 2021, with 28 goals in just as many appearances.

Only Robert Lewandowski and Dusan Vlahovic have scored more goals than him this year.

The Fiorentina star is arguably the most surprising player in Europe in 2021, with 30 goals in 40 appearances, one every 117 minutes.

Haaland has a better goal-per-minute ratio with one goal every 86 minutes and both strikers are expected to leave their clubs in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund haven’t officially confirmed that their striker has a release clause included in his contract, but according to reports in Germany, Haaland’s clause is in the region of €75-90m.

On the other hand, Fiorentina have slapped an €80m price tag on their striker, a fee that Arsenal would be ready to pay in January.

However, Football Italia can confirm that Vlahovic doesn’t want to move to the Emirates Stadium and is waiting for offers from other clubs.

Commisso blames agents, compares Vlahovic to Donnarumma

Juventus and Inter are the Serie A clubs interested in securing his services, but both clubs can only sign the player on loan with an option or obligation to buy, given their financial struggles due to the COVID pandemic.

Vlahovic’s contract expires in June 2023 and Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso has explained that the 21-year-old won’t sign a new deal at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Vlahovic the third Serie A star to snub Arsenal move?

However, in his last interview with Radio 24 last week, Commisso said that Vlahovic is not a ‘closed chapter’, adding that clubs interested in signing him must talk to Fiorentina and not his agents.

Tottenham and Manchester City are possible destinations for the Serbia international, and so are Borussia Dortmund, but just in case, they sell Haaland in the summer.

No Serie A clubs can afford to sign the Norway striker at the end of the season, but if Vlahovic keeps scoring at this rate, his stay in Italy would also be unlikely.
