“The club can confirm that, following a latest round of molecular testing, a first-team player has returned a positive result for COVID-19,” Roma’s statement read.

“The relevant health authorities have immediately been informed.

“The player, who has completed the vaccine cycle, is doing fine and has begun self-isolating.”

The Giallorossi now have three players out of action due to Coronavirus: Daniel Fuzato plus two unnamed players.

Roma had announced their last COVID case hours before the game against Juventus on Sunday.

Nicolò Zaniolo didn’t train with the team the day before and was not included in the squad for the match against the Bianconeri, but, officially, he is not injured.
