The Disciplinary Commission has suspended both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku for one match in the Coppa Italia.

The sporting judge’s decision will only be valid in the Italian Cup, now the two strikers await the verdict of the federal prosecutor.

Both have been suspended for the bookings received on the pitch in the Derby della Madonnina on Tuesday, when the two strikers clashed at half-time.

Lukaku was shown a yellow card and will be out when the Nerazzurri play Juventus in the first leg of the semi-finals, whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be suspended for the first Cup game in 2021-22.

The prosecutor will now decide if he should open an investigation but only if the referee has overlooked any discriminatory offences in his report.

Inter must also cope without Achraf Hakimi, who is also supended for the first leg against Juventus.

Elsewhere, Jose Luis Palomino was also sent off when Atalanta played Lazio and will be out against Napoli.

Franck Kessie has also been suspended for the first game of the next edition of the Coppa Italia, booked for ‘protests against the match officials’.
