Cagliari are about to sign Sassuolo defender Federico Peluso and send captain Daniele Dessena to Serie B high-fliers Brescia.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Peluso will join Cagliari on an 18-month contract after Sassuolo’s Coppa Italia tie with Napoli on Sunday.

The 34-year-old won two Scudetti with Juventus before moving to Sassuolo in 2014, but he lost his place at left-back to Bianconeri loanee Rogerio.

As for outgoings in Sardinia, several reports agree Dessena is on the verge of swapping the Rossoblu for the blue of Brescia.
