Andre Onana shrugs off the return of Rafael Leao for Milan in the Champions League semi-final, assuring Inter ‘beat them often’ this season already and can do it again.

It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

While Rafael Leao is back in the Rossoneri squad, the Nerazzurri can still feel relatively comfortable after the 2-0 first leg victory, especially as they have now won their last three editions of the Derby della Madonnina in the Supercoppa Italiana, Serie A and Champions League.

“We know the importance of the game, all players train in order to participate in this type of match. We trained for this and must give our best today,” Onana told Inter TV and Sky Sport Italia.

“The key is to be ourselves. We played many times against Milan and beat them often. We are prepared. There is no advantage at winning the first leg.

“I think it does depend on us. It will be a difficult match, we want to win and what happened last week no longer counts for anything. We are in front of our fans and that makes a big, big, big difference. We need them today more than ever. They can give us that something extra.”

There is one big difference from last week, as Rafael Leao is in the starting XI, having shaken off his muscular problem.

“It doesn’t matter if Leao is playing or not, we have already played against them many times and won many times. The most important thing is to win.”

The away goals rule no longer applies, so Milan need any victory by a two-goal margin to force extra time, or to win by three clear goals to qualify for the Champions League Final.
