The agent of Cameroon international goalkeeper Andre Onana held a meeting with Manchester United today, but Inter are demanding at least €50m plus bonuses and Tottenham just made it harder to sell.

The shot-stopper has long been considered a first choice for coach Erik ten Hag, who already worked with Onana at Ajax and admires him for his ability to start moves from the back.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Onana’s agent was in Manchester today for a meeting with the Old Trafford directors.

However, Inter will not even sit down at the table to negotiate unless they are promised €50m plus bonuses.

Manchester United’s situation has also been rather complicated by a different move from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Nerazzurri had already lined up Guglielmo Vicario of Empoli as the ideal replacement for Onana.

That is no longer an option, as Spurs snapped him up for €19m plus €1m in add-ons, with a medical set for this weekend.

Losing Vicario will make Inter even more determined to hold on to Onana for the best possible deal.
