Juan Jesus suspects that he wouldn’t still be at Inter had he not shined for Brazil at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

“The Olympics helped Inter to note what I could do,” the 21-year-old defender told Sky Sport Italia on Wednesday.

“They looked at me differently after that competition, they took more notice of my qualities. Now I just need to keep improving.”

The stopper, who was linked with a loan switch to a smaller club last summer, played in just one game for the Nerazzurri last season following his January arrival from Internacional.

So far in this campaign, the youngster has appeared in 12 Serie A games and six Europa League matches.
