Atalanta players were woken up by a fire alarm that went off five times in their hotel in Manchester and Twitter users have reacted sarcastically: ‘It’s Ole’s tactic.’

The Red Devils’ coach is under pressure after suffering a 4-2 defeat against Leicester City last weekend.

Atalanta, on the other hand, won 4-1 at Empoli and arrive at Old Trafford as the Group F leaders.

However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s players had a tough night as there were not able to get regular sleep because of a fire alarm that went off five times.

Ruslan Malinovskyi’s wife Roskana revealed what happened on Instagram and hinted that it may not have been a casual incident.

“The alarm went off five times, since the team arrived,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

“It was at full power. Do you think it’s just an incident? I don’t think so. Such a warm welcome from local people is terrible. I hope our fans will support our players and, perhaps, the same thing will suddenly happen in a hotel in Italy.”

The news became viral on social media, with many fans commenting on it.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures,” one fan wrote referring to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s position. He wasn’t the only one.
