Fiorentina and Girondins de Bordeaux are allegedly lining up to offer Borja Valero a new challenge as his Inter contract expires this summer.

The Spanish midfielder arrived from the Viola in July 2017 and the 35-year-old can move on a free transfer after the current campaign.

He was brought to Italy by Paulo Sousa, who is currently the coach at Bordeaux in Ligue 1 and France Football claims he would like to reunite with the playmaker in France.

The veteran became a fan favourite at the Artemio Franchi and it’s not overly surprising that the Viola are prepared to give him the possibility to extend his career in Italy.

Earlier this month, Sport Mediaset reported that the most likely destination would be Florence.
