The Sicilian side have been up for sale for over a year, but a takeover by a consortium fronted by Paul Baccaglini collapsed.
This morning though the company dealing with the sale has confirmed that a deal is done to sell the Rosanero.
“Financial Innovations Team, as advisor appointed by U.S. Città di Palermo S.p.A for the sale of the club, announces that one of the investors, who had recently expressed an interest in taking over the club, has completed his analysis and confirmed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares of the company,” a statement on Palermo’s website reads.
“The negotiation is therefore to be considered positively concluded. It will still take a few days for the definitive signature, to allow the parties to complete the necessary formalities.”
