Kenan Yildiz has officially put pen to paper on a new and improved contract with Juventus, in a deal that will tie him to the Bianconeri until the summer of 2029.
The Old Lady have also confirmed that the Turkish talent will now don the iconic no.10 jersey, previously worn by the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini.
Extending the contract was not the most pressing of issues for Juventus, as Yildiz was already tied down until the summer of 2028 on his previous deal, but it is understood that the 19-year-old has been rewarded with an improved set of personal terms after a successful breakthrough season in 2023-24.
Recent reports suggest that Yildiz will now earn a base salary of around €1m per season, not including bonuses, which is more than treble what he was earning on his last contract, which reportedly earned him about €300,000 per year.
What Juventus said about Yildiz after contract extension
“Juventus is delighted to announce that Turkish talent Kenan Yildiz has renewed his contract, extending his stay in Turin until June 2029, and will wear the club’s Number 10 shirt from this season onwards,” Juventus wrote in a statement.
“Born and raised in Germany by his Turkish father and German mother – choosing his father’s nationality, Yildiz came through the youth ranks of Bayern Munich, who set their sights on him at just seven years of age, remaining with the German giants for a decade.”
“As a young talent with great prospects, he joined the Bianconeri in 2022, starting with the Under-19 team, scoring a total of 15 goals in 37 appearances before joining the Juventus Next Gen side, with whom he made his professional debut on 17 December 2022, scoring two goals.”

I hope he lives up to the hype and fulfil his potentials. We’ve seen many start with such great hype and expectations who ended up been a flop. I wish him all the best though!
