Official: Watford sign Britos

English Premier League side Watford have confirmed the signing of Napoli defender Miguel Britos.

The Partenopei have signed Brazilian midfielder Allan from Udinese, and with the Pozzo family owning both clubs, it appears the Uruguayan has moved to England as part of the same deal.

“Watford have strengthened their squad further with the permanent signing of experienced Uruguayan defender Miguel Britos,” the Hornets confirmed on their official website.

“The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Vicarage Road.

During that time he played his part in Napoli’s second-place Serie A finish in 2012/13, also winning the Coppa Italia twice and the Super Cup once.”
