Claudio Ranieri has officially returned to the Premier League, signing a two-year contract at Watford, a club owned by the Pozzo family.

The coach turns 70 later this month and had been a free agent after walking away from Sampdoria over the summer.

His previous roles included Roma, Fulham, FC Nantes, Monaco, Inter, the Greece national team, Juventus, Parma, Valencia, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.

Most famously in England, he won the Premier League title at Leicester City in 2015-16.

This saw him win the 2016 FIFA Best Men’s Coach award and the 2015-16 Premier League Manager of the Season award.

Ranieri is followed by staff Paolo Benetti, Carlo Cornacchia and fitness coach Carlo Spignoli.

His record in the Premier League is of 107 victories, 58 draws and 60 defeats.

He also has 461 Serie A games under his belt, 115 in La Liga, 76 in Ligue 1, 76 in Serie B and 76 in Ligue 2.

Watford are owned by the Pozzo family, who also run Serie A outfit Udinese.
