Hellas Verona have officially purchased Giovanni Simeone from Cagliari, but he is not expected to remain, with interest from Napoli, Atalanta, Valencia, Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal and more.

The centre-forward turns 27 next month and spent this season on loan at Verona, where he scored 17 goals in 36 Serie A appearances.

Verona announced they have activated the option to purchase Simeone outright for €12m and signed him to a contract until June 2026.

However, he is unlikely to stay at the Stadio Bentegodi for long, as he could be sold for at least double that sum this summer.

There are numerous clubs who have shown an interest in the Argentina international, who is the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

Napoli and Atalanta could keep him in Serie A, while there are proposals in Spain from Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal.

The Premier League is also an alternative, with Arsenal joining Newcastle United in approaching Cholito.
