Venezia have officially extended the contract with their coach Paolo Zanetti until 2025.
Zanetti led Venezia to Serie A with the Lagunari who will play in Italy’s top flight next season for the first time in 19 years.
He had been linked with other Serie A clubs, including Lazio, but the newly-promoted Serie A side have announced his contract extension until 2025.
“We are pleased that Zorro will remain with us for the next four seasons,” Venezia President Duncan Niederauer said.
“There have been many rumours due to the success of the team lately, but we’ve always been confident about reaching an agreement.
“Our Serie A return will require an extra effort from everybody and Zorro is ready to play his part.
“A big part of our success is due to his leadership, we are like a family and Zorro has instilled this mentality in our players.
“We want to build a future full of successes and satisfactions and give continuity to the work of the coach.
“We are already working hard to put our ideas into practice for both the first and Primavera teams. We are working hard in every department to get ready for the new season.”
