Roma have officially announced that Cengiz Under moves to Olympique Marseille on loan with an option to buy.

The Giallorossi announced on Twitter that Under, who spent last term on loan with Leicester City in the Premier League, has moved on a new temporary stint abroad.

This time the Turkey international moved to Marseille and will play in Ligue 1, and La Lupa have included an obligation to buy with conditions.

“Roma announce that Cengiz Under moves on loan until June 30, 2022, to Olympique Marseille,” the club wrote in a statement.

Marseille pay €500,000 for the loan and the ‘agreement provides, in the event of certain sporting situations, the obligation to sign him permanently for €8.4m’.

Under played nine times in the English Premier League last term, contributing two assists in the process.

Roma signed the Turkish forward for a reported €14.25m in July 2017 and Under has since played 88 competitive games with the Giallorossi, including 11 in the Champions League.
