UEFA have officially announced that Milan and Toulouse have both been allowed admission to the European cups following the multi-club ownership concerns.
Both clubs are owned by US investment fund RedBird, leading to concerns that they could be in violation of the rule prohibiting two teams owned by the same entity from competing in adjacent European competitions.
Milan finished fourth in Serie A and secured qualification to the Champions League, whilst Toulouse qualified for the Europa League after winning the Coupe de France, beating Nantes 5-1 in the final.
RedBird made efforts to separate the two clubs, changing the ownership structure and holding companies whilst also making changes at the board level, with Gerry Cardinale stepping away from the Ligue 1 outfit.
Milan and Toulouse were not the only pair of clubs under investigation, with Aston Villa-Vitoria and Brighton-Union Saint-Gilloise also under the spotlight. All six clubs have now been allowed entry to their respective European competitions.
