Tottenham officially announced the arrival of talented full back Destiny Udogie from Udinese, who has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club.

The 19-year-old Italian prospect exploded onto the scene in Serie A last season following his move to Udine. Udogie scored five goals and provided three assists in 35 Serie A appearances, shining as a left wing back.

As announced by Spurs, Udogie has now signed for Tottenham on a permanent deal, putting pen to paper on a five-year contract. He will be sent back to Udinese on loan for the 2022-23 season, allowing him to continue his development with regular playing time.

The 19-year-old looks to be the perfect fit for Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system in North London and the club will likely be hoping to integrate him into the first team next year.

Udogie underlined his excitement at the move when speaking to TMW yesterday, highlighting his desire to grow.

“I’m very happy, It’s a good feeling to go to the Premier League, work with Conte, and sign with Tottenham.

“I am convinced that with Conte I will be able to grow further. For now, however, it is also important to return on loan to Udinese, I want to have a good season.”
