Torino have officially signed Inter wing-back Valentin Lazaro on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old plays on the right side of defence, midfield or attack.

Inter paid €22.4m to sign the Austria international from Hertha Berlin in 2019, but he never made an impact at San Siro.

There were loan spells at Newcastle United, Borussia Monchengladbach and Benfica.

His contract with the Nerazzurri runs to June 2024.

It’s reported the option to buy is worth €5m and Inter are paying for a portion of his salary during the loan period, which is €2m per season.

In other news, Torino also loaned Ben Lhassine Kone to Frosinone with an option to buy and retained a counter-option.

Toro also announced that David Zima has been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and will require some time out of action to rest and then begin rehabilitation.

  1. He’s actually been one of our 2 or 3 standout performers in pre-season so… we ship him off and pay some of his salary… no wonder we’re broke… we didn’t give him a chance to show what he can do…

  2. @ Interello if he was that good all those club would have try to sign him. so dont blame inter for that
