Torino confirm Andrea Belotti has left the club at the end of his contract: ‘Good luck.’

Il Gallo rejected several offers to extend his stay at the club and his contract expired yesterday. Torino have confirmed the striker’s exit with an official statement on their website.

“Dear Andrea, we acknowledge your decision to begin a new experience, from today we take different paths,” the statement reads.

“We spent seven seasons together, which, in modern football, represent a very solid bond. We always shared with the same passion joys and sufferings, emotions and disappointments.

“We thank you for everything you gave us. Proud of what you have become for Toro, we salute you by wishing you good luck in the continuing of your career.”

Belotti scored 113 goals in 251 appearances with the Granata, becoming the seventh-best scorer in the history of the club. According to reports in Italy, he is close to joining Ligue 1 side Monaco.

  1. he’s a lousy player and hopefully will never represent Italy internationally ever again just like Immobile , Insigne, Bernardeschi and the Brazilian midfielder who missed all the PKs costing a place in the WC.
