“Torino Football Club is glad to announce that Davide Nicola has been appointed the new head coach,” a new official statements published on Tuesday morning reads.

“Davide Nicola was born in Luserna San Giovanni, near Torino, on March 5, 1973. As a player he wore the Torino kit in the 2005/2006 season, helping the granata reach serie A with his goal against Mantova in overtime of the playoff final. In 2010 he began his coaching career. Unforgettable is the challenge he accomplished with Crotone, with 20 points obtained in the last 9 matches, helping the club remain in serie A. Another big accomplishment was made last season, helping Genoa avoid relegation.
