Theo Hernandez has officially extended his contract with Milan, tying him to the club until 2026.

The 24-year-old French left back is one of the most important players in Stefano Pioli’s squad, impressing both offensively and defensively, and this comes as good news to Rossoneri fans, as this extension wards off interest from any clubs following the player.

As announced by Milan today, Hernandez has extended his contract until June 30 2026, making him a regular part of the team for years to come. The Frenchman has previously highlighted how special it is to work with one of the best full backs in history, Paolo Maldini.

He will reportedly earn €4m net per season plus €500,000 in add-ons, becoming one of the better paid players in the squad.

Hernandez, who joined Milan in 2019 from Real Madrid, has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2293 minutes. In that time, he has scored four goals and provided eight assists.

  1. BIG!!! Along with Gosens and Dusan, Serie A can keep a hold on some of the world’s best talents!

  2. @ Vogel, lol. Yeah. Or at most two until he’s sold for big money, since contracts now “expire” two years before they actually do.

  3. Good news , and a big jump forward. Need to get some others looked after . One step at a time, but have to keep taking steps !

  4. Haha us Milan fans have so much emotional damage, one of our best players just signed extention and we’re already imagining him leaving in the future.

  5. Now secure leao and bennacer and remember tonali took a pay cut to prove himself, so hopefully he will get a raise soon
