Iranian side FC Esteghal have officially appointed former Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni as their new Coach.
Sky Sport Italia reports Stramaccioni has signed a two-year contract, with the option for a third, worth €1.6m a season.
The 43-year-old was considered one of Italian football’s most promising young Coaches when he guided Inter’s Primavera side to glory in the precursor to the UEFA Youth League in 2012.
He was then promoted to the Nerazzurri’s first team but lasted only 14 months at the helm.

‘Strama’ went on to work for Udinese, Panathinaikos and Sparta Prague with little success.
Esteghal, for their part, are one of Iran’s most prestigious clubs with two Asian Champions Leagues and eight domestic titles to their name.
