Spezia have officially confirmed the arrival of Roma forward Eldor Shomurodov on a six-month loan deal.

The 27-year-old Uzbeki striker has hardly featured this season under Jose Mourinho, scoring just one goal in 151 minutes of action across Serie A and the Europa League. The player has struggled to show his best in the Italian capital, netting just six goals in 48 appearances for the Giallorossi.

As highlighted by TMW, Spezia have now officially confirmed the arrival of Shomurodov, depositing his contract to Lega Serie A. The 27-year-old has joined on a six-month loan deal worth €1.5m, with no permanence clause attached.

The Uzbeki striker will be hoping to rediscover his form in Liguria after a tough time in the Italian capital. During his one season with Genoa, Shomurodov scored eight goals and provided two assists in 32 appearances. He is also an experienced international, having scored 32 goals in 59 caps for his country.
