Spezia have confirmed the signing of João Gervásio Bragança Moutinho as a free agent from Orlando City.

The Portuguese full-back will be available for the first match of the year on January 4.

Moutinho, 24, is still under contract with Orland FC in the MLS, but his current deal expires on December 31, 2022. He has signed a contract with the Aquilotti until June 2026, Spezia said in an official statement.

Moutinho already trained with the Serie A side this morning having received authorization from his previous club.

The left wing-back will wear Spezia’s No.5.

He collected 69 appearances in Florida, playing for four seasons for Orlando City. He won the U.S. Open Cup last season.

A product of Sporting CP academy, Moutinho joined Portuguese side Sacavanense in 2013 before signing for Akron Zips in the U.S. in the summer of 2017.

LAFC drafted him in January 2018 before he moved to Orlando.

Overall, he scored three goals and registered five assists in 83 appearances in the MLS.
