Riccardo Sottil has officially extended his contract with Fiorentina to June 2026. ‘I arrived here as a child and now I am a man.’
The wide attacker came up through the Viola youth academy and has now settled at the Stadio Franchi following some loan spells at Pescara and Cagliari.
A statement confirmed Sottil has signed a new contract through to June 2026.
The 22-year-old is the son of former Fiorentina defender and current Ascoli coach Andrea Sottil.
“I am certainly proud to have extended my contract, especially as I came up through the Fiorentina youth academy,” Sottil told the club website.
“I arrived here as a child and now I am a man. I must thank Fiorentina for helping me to mature. The club has faith in me and I must repay that on the pitch now.
“We are on the right track and must keep going like this.”

Nice to hear someone is loyal to the club that shape him into a great player
Touche.
Plot Twist: Fiorentina just sold him to Newcastle.
Loyalty indeed.
If Sottil was in demand, Fiorentina would have cashed him out.
