Siena have officially sacked Coach Serse Cosmi after today’s 4-1 defeat to Fiorentina.
The rumours had already been circulating that the Tuscan Derby loss was the final straw, as Robur are propping up the table – mainly due to their six-point penalty in the betting scandal.
“A.C. Siena have removed Coach Serse Cosmi from his position,” read a statement released late Sunday evening.
“The club thanks the Coach and his staff for the work done with dedication and great professionalism over the last few months.”
There is no official news on who will take over, but it’s widely believed to be Beppe Iachini.
Siena have earned 17 points this season and without the penalty would be in 13th place.
