Official: Sensi returns to Monza as a free agent

Monza have officially signed Stefano Sensi as a free agent after his contract with Inter was allowed to run down.

The midfielder celebrated his 29th birthday on Monday and had already spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Monza.

He returned to Inter and was on the verge of a transfer to Leicester City in January when it fell apart over personal terms and the transfer fee.

His contract expired on June 30 and this evening Sensi put pen to paper on a new deal with Monza that runs to June 2025.

A product of the Cesena youth academy, he flourished at Sassuolo and made the move to Inter for €27.2m in 2019.

He was one of the most promising young players in Italy, amassing nine senior caps with three goals, the most recent appearance in March 2022.

Injuries damaged his career path and he had some loan experiences at Sampdoria and Monza.
