Sampdoria have announced the suspension of their director Carlo Osti due to ‘lack of condition to continue the working relationship.’
Osti served as the club’s general director and signed a contract extension until June 2023 in the summer.
However, his relationship with President Massimo Ferrero had become tense over the last few months and Sampdoria announced Osti’s suspension today.
“U.C. Sampdoria announce the precautionary suspension of the First Team Sports Director and Technical Area Manager, Carlo Osti starting from today,” the statement read.
“This is due to the lack of conditions for the continuation of the working relationship.”
