Sampdoria have announced the signing of Mikkel Krogh Damsgaard from FC Nordsjaelland, who will arrive in the summer on a four-year deal.

The Danish youngster has played 19 games and contributed six goals and two assists in the Danish Superligaen this campaign.

He has been picked up for an unknown fee by the Blucerchiati, who have confirmed that the 19-year-old will arrive this summer.

“UC Sampdoria have confirmed the signing of midfielder Mikkel Krogh Damsgaard on a permanent transfer from FC Nordsjælland,” the club wrote in a statement on their official website.

“Damsgaard – born in Jyllinge, Denmark on July 3, 2000 – will join the Blucerchiati on July 1, 2020 and has signed a contract through to June 30, 2024.”

The player from Denmark will mean that Sampdoria will have at least one player from each of the Scandinavian nations in their squad, already including Swedish Albin Ekdal and the Norwegian duo Morten Thorsby and Kristoffer Askildsen.
