After he joined their pre-season training camp, Salernitana have now officially signed goalkeeper Benoit Costil.
He has put pen to paper on a contract to June 2024 and will wear the Number 56 jersey.
Costil was a free agent after his deal with Ligue 1 side Lille was allowed to run down this summer.
His previous clubs include Caen, Bordeaux, Rennes and Auxerre.
The 36-year-old arrived in Italy on Sunday and underwent a medical before joining in with pre-season training and coach Paulo Sousa’s squad.
Costil is expected to act as the understudy to first-choice Salernitana goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who also arrived as a free agent in the January transfer window from Club America.
