Newly-promoted Salernitana have officially signed right-back Nadir Zortea from Atalanta, on loan with option to buy and counter-option.
The 22-year-old is a product of the Atalanta youth academy and has recently been on loan at Vicenza and Cremonese.
The versatile Italy Under-20 international can also play on the left or in a more advanced role as a wing-back.
Salernitana announced that they have signed Zortea on loan for one season, with an option to buy.
Atalanta retained a counter-option so they can bring him back to base next summer.
The two clubs are also in advanced negotiations that should bring left-back Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta to Salernitana on loan.
He had been close to Reggina, but wanted to wait for the chance to play in Serie A.
