Fiorentina have officially deposited their contract with Chelsea man Mohamed Salah.

The Egypt international arrives on loan to the end of the season as part of the move taking Juan Cuadrado to Stamford Bridge, as confirmed in a statement from the Premier League club.

Fiorentina released a statement noting they have the option to extend the loan for 2015-16 and will then have another option to make the move permanent.

It’s reported Chelsea will continue paying his wages, while the Viola must pay €1m to extend the loan.

“We are happy with our transfer window. We didn’t expect it to go this way, but it provided certain solutions,” Fiorentina director Daniele Prade told Sky Sport Italia.

“We never thought of releasing Cuadrado, but an offer arrived that we could not refuse.

“We brought in Alessandro Diamanti, Alberto Gilardino, Salah and today an Italian player Aleandro Rosi who can be of real use to our squad.”
