Lazio have officially announced the signing of Nicolo Rovella on a two-year loan deal from Juventus, which includes an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

The 21-year-old midfielder began his career with Genoa, joining the team’s academy side in 2017, before making his senior debut two years later in 2019.

Since 2021, Rovella has been on Juventus’ books, joining on a three-and-a-half year deal for a fee of €18m rising to €20m. From there, he was immediately sent back out on loan to Genoa for the 2021-22 season.

In the most recent campaign, Rovella was on loan with newly-promoted Monza, where he made 27 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal in the process.

It is not just Rovella set to join Lazio, however, as the Biancocelesti are also expected to complete the permanent signing of Luca Pellegrini in the coming days, also on a loan with an obligation to buy.

It is believed that Lazio will invest around €21m to bring the duo to the Stadio Olimpico.
