Roma have officially loaned Croatian defender Tin Jedvaj to Bayer Leverkusen for two seasons with option to buy.
The Giallorossi released a statement this afternoon confirming the teenage centre-back will spend the next two campaigns on loan in Germany.
This deal includes an option for Bayer Leverkusen to make the move permanent, which must be exercised by the end of the 2015-16 season.
Roma also have a counter-option, the details of which are unclear.
Jedvaj is only 18 years old and managed just two Serie A appearances in his debut season at Roma, playing a grand total of 98 minutes, after arriving from Dinamo Zagreb.
It is hoped he will be given the opportunity to play regularly and flourish at Bayer Leverkusen, ultimately increasing his value.
