Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed that Javier Pastore has signed for Roma.

The Argentinian midfielder arrived in Italy last night ahead of the move, with the transfer fee expected to be around €20m.

El Flaco took his medical at the Villa Stuart clinic this morning, and the Ligue 1 champions have now officially confirmed the transfer.

“Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentinian midfielder Javier Pastore has transferred to Italian club Associazione Sportiva Roma,” a statement reads.

“Javier Pastore, 29, was Paris Saint-Germain’s first star signing of the QSI era in 2011.

“Paris Saint-Germain thanks Javier for his professionalism, for the enthusiasm he has always shown for the club’s project, since 2011, and his class and elegance in representing the club both on and off the pitch.”

President Nasser Al-Khelaifi also commented on the move.

“I will never forget the strong bonds that tie Javier Pastore, our first major international signing, to all those who love our club.

“Since his debut wearing our jersey, Javier’s superb technique and visionary passes enchanted the Parc des Princes, who have always reserved a special place in its heart for the most elegant of players. “He will always hold a special place in Paris Saint-Germain family. On behalf of the entire Club, I wish Javier a most successful and fulfilling return to Italy.”
