Roma have officially completed a deal for Argentinian talent Matias Soule following a long set of talks with Juventus.

The Giallorossi quickly identified the 21-year-old forward as an exciting option to bolster Daniele De Rossi’s squad this summer and fought hard with Leicester City to secure a deal for the player. They ultimately agreed a deal worth €26m plus €4m in various add-ons.

Soule arrived amidst much fanfare in the Italian capital on Sunday evening and underwent his medicals with Roma on Monday morning. He agreed to sign a five-year contract worth circa €2m net per season plus add-ons.

As officially announced today, Roma have now signed Matias Soule from Juventus in a definitive transfer, allowing him to start working with De Rossi and his compatriots Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes.

Last season, the 21-year-old forward scored 11 goals and provided three assists across 36 Serie A appearances for Frosinone, proving himself to be an up-and-coming talent with heaps of potential.

What Roma said about Soule

“AS Roma is pleased to welcome Matias Soulé to the Giallorossi family,” a statement on the club website read.

“Born in 2003 in Mar del Plata, the Argentine arrives from Juventus and will bolster the attacking ranks.Soulé, a left-sided attacker, scored 11 goals in 36 Serie A games last season.

“Overall, he has 51 appearances in the top Italian division, including his time with Juventus.

“With the Argentina national team, Matias took part in the Under-20s World Cup hosted in Argentina in 2023.

“For the Giallorossi he will wear the number 18. A special shirt number that belonged to another Argentine, Gabriel Omar Batistuta, in the year of the third Scudetto. Up until 2006, it belonged to Antonio Cassano, a skilled and technically gifted player.
