Roma have officially sent left-back Matias Vina to Bournemouth on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for a reported €15m.

A deal had already been reached earlier this afternoon and the formal statement was released this evening.

According to Italian reports, the loan for six months will cost €750,000 and the option to buy is set at €15m.

The 25-year-old Uruguay international was purchased from Palmeiras in the summer of 2021 for €13m, along with a percentage of the sell-on fee.

He had fallen far down the pecking order this season under Jose Mourinho and managed only seven appearances in all competition.

That took his total in the Giallorossi jersey to 44 matches, in which he provided two assists and no goals.

Vina has 28 senior caps for Uruguay and was part of the Roma squad that won the Europa Conference League trophy last season.
