As expected, Roma have officially loaned striker Umar Sadiq to Torino with an option to buy and counter-option.

The 20-year-old spent last season at Bologna, making just seven appearances and providing one assist.

“The club can confirm that a deal has been agreed with Torino FC for the initial loan transfer of striker Sadiq Umar,” read the Roma statement.

“Sadiq joins Torino on a temporary deal that runs until 30 June 2018. As part of the agreement, Torino have the option to make the transfer permanent for an agreed fee.

“Sadiq joined the Giallorossi's Primavera squad from Spezia in 2015. An Olympic bronze medallist with Nigeria in 2016, he has made six appearances in total for the Giallorossi – scoring two goals.”
