Roma have officially completed the purchase of Wesley França from Flamengo for a reported €25m plus €5m in bonuses.

The right-back will celebrate his 22nd birthday in September and was a product of the Flamengo youth academy, working his way up to the senior squad.

He was a precise request of new Giallorossi coach Gian Piero Gasperini and already has two senior caps for Brazil.

The negotiations took a while to reach a full agreement, with Roma eventually paying circa €25m plus another €5m in add-ons.

He flew in over the weekend for his medical tests and put pen to paper on a contract to June 2030.

He will wear the Number 43 jersey and become the 46th different Brazilian to wear the Roma shirt.

Although primarily a right-back, he will play in a more advanced wing-back role at the Stadio Olimpico, to fit in with Gasperini’s tactics.
