He arrived from Napoli as a free agent in the summer of 2018, having previously played for the likes of Villarreal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

“We’ve managed to secure a player in Pepe who has a wealth of Premier League experience,” Villa manager Dean Smith told the club website.
“At the start of the summer we were looking for an experienced goalkeeper and brought in Tom Heaton. Unfortunately, his injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season, but Pepe fits our criteria not just because of his experience, but also because of his leadership qualities.”
Milan also announced Reina’s replacement, as Begovic had his medical yesterday.
The 32-year-old Bosnia international comes on a six-month loan from Bournemouth, having just completed a temporary spell with Qarabag.
There are reports Begovic could make his Rossoneri debut in tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match against SPAL, as first choice Gianluigi Donnarumma has a slight muscular issue.
