Milan have officially announced the arrival of Tijjani Reijnders, who has joined in a definitive transfer from AZ Alkmaar.

The Rossoneri have been working to bolster their midfield this summer following the sale of Sandro Tonali, picking up Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, and Reijnders quickly emerged as another key target.

The 24-year-old is joining in a deal reported to be worth around €20m plus add-ons and he has signed a five-year contract with the club, worth around €1.7m net per season.

As announced today, Reijnders has now officially signed for Milan, allowing him to start pre-season work with Stefano Pioli and his new teammates. He will wear the shirt number 14.

The Dutch midfielder shined last season for AZ, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists in 54 games across all competitions. A central midfielder, he has been praised for his ability to progress play, his technical abilities and creativity.

Reijnders is Milan’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero and Marco Sportiello.
