Real Madrid announce that Carlo Ancelotti’s son Davide has tested positive for COVID along with Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, Andrij Lunin and Rodrygo.

The Merengues have announced five new cases of COVID, following those of Luka Modric and Marcelo.

They released a short statement on their website without going into details about their players’ physical conditions.

Real Madrid played against Inter on December 7 and faced Atletico Madrid five days later.

They are on top of the La Liga table with 42 points in 17 matches. Sevilla sit second with 34 and a game in hand.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are supposed to face Cadiz on Sunday at the Bernabeu and at the moment, their match is not at risk of postponement.

The La Liga giants have been paired with PSG in the Champions League Round of 16. They will face the Ligue 1 giants in Paris on February 12.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will then travel to Madrid on March 3.

  1. Any news on the players well being? I find it odd, that all they discuss is cases cases. Define cases and define what outcomes are of the cases. If you get it but feel fine, or get it and feel terrible. All this does is incite fear . Add context
