Giacomo Raspadori is officially a new Napoli player after completing the transfer from Sassuolo and could make his debut against Monza tomorrow.

The versatile Italy international striker had his medical yesterday in Rome and this evening put pen to paper on the contract.

As is traditional at Napoli, it was announced via the official Twitter account of President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

This is a loan deal at €5m with an obligation to buy for a further €25m, along with up to another €5m in various performance-related bonuses.

Those are tied to goals, assists and the team’s Champions League qualification.

The 22-year-old has 13 senior Italy caps, in which he scored three goals, and was part of the squad that won EURO 2020 last summer.

Raspadori was a product of the Sassuolo youth academy and spent his entire club career at the Mapei Stadium, so this is a big step for the young man.
